Look where things are going not where they are.

Fall in love with neighborhoods – never just a home.

A significant part of the value of a property comes from the surrounding neighborhood. If you love a single property, but don’t like the neighborhood chances are a future buyer may feel the same way. What others do with their property does affect the value of your property. Regardless of how hard you may work to improve a property, if the neighborhood is run down and people don’t maintain their yards and homes it may impact your ability to sell in the future.  Our advice if you see a neighborhood like that: keep looking.  By the same token, if the surrounding neighborhood is well kept and feels good to you perhaps there might be a good deal waiting for you now and in the future.
